RUN BY OUR SHOOTING FAMILY FOR YOUR SHOOTING FAMILY

Sporting Clays is a relatively new shotgunning sport. It originated in England as a way for bird hunters to practice. Its popularity grew until it became a separate and exciting sport unto itself. Sporting clays shooters now have the advantage of a national organization, National Sporting Clays Association, which is reached at NSCA This link will provide much information about the sport and available shooting in your area.

Many state organizations (PSCA)and ranges are available in your state. East Coast shooters are blessed with many easily accessible ranges.

Rock Mountain has a beautiful and varied terrain. The presentations shift through woods, over fields, from towers and cliff, and down the valley. Target presentations are changed frequently to challenge all levels of shooters. The targets include standards, rabbits, Battues, Chondelles, Minis, Midis and Teal. We also provide five-stand for warm-up and competition, a wobble trap and flush/flurry. All the stands are cart accessible. The path is an easy walk or ride.

We also offer NSCA Certified Instruction to introduce you to the sport or fine tune your game.
We recommend two other venues if you are unable to get to The Rock.  Vernon National Shooting Preserve is in mid-state New York and offers sporting clays and hunting.  Hausmann's Hidden Hollow offers sporting clays with the emphasis on side-by-side shooting.  Both the Acee and the Hausmann families will welcome you to a great day of shooting.
We also recommend the group of side by side shooters known as Grouse Hall.  They are a growing organization that provides shoots at different venues for those addicted to the "old style" way of shooting clays.  They have a lot of fun visiting around and we welcome them at least once a year here at The Rock.  Further information can be had at http://www.grousehallsxs.com
